Condolences for Gustav W. “Gus” Marzinzik
This man fathered some great children that I was lucky enough to teach at Southeast High School!! Me sympathy to the family!
Sandy and Dick, So sorry to read about your dad's passing. Keeping you and your family in our prayers.
Sandy & Dick, Sorry for your loss. I'm sure he'll be missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I joined the choir at First Church of God in 2002. They told me that there was another Bass but he and his wife were vacationing in Hawaii. We later heard that he had a heart attack while snorkeling, which generated more of his stories. He got home and soon started practicing with the choir for the Christmas cantata, showing no signs of any heart trouble. Gus always had a story, ranging from growing up on the north side to modern stories about people he knew and loved. He was always ready with a smile and a laugh, but also serious in Sunday school sessions or Bible study. He was unique, I've never met anyone like him, and I wish that I had known him longer. I will miss him.
