Condolences for Charles Edwin “Ed” Nicholson
I am so sorry to hear of "Little Ed's" passing. Little Ed always had a smile on his face and growing up in a small town of Mt. Union we shared many things like chalk arrows, playing pool at the fire station and just Harold's Country Store would open up so we could go grab a coke, a lot of memories. I remember especially in the evenings we would be at the Nicholson home with our bikes and line up and race around the block. Ed's brother Jim was in my class and was my best friend all thru school.
I worked with Ed at IDPA/IDHS for nearly three decades. We were both computer programmers. He was one of the most wonderful (and smart) people that I ever worked with. He was a true joy to work with and I never heard a cross word from him. He was one of the reasons that I always looked forward going to work every day. RIP, dear friend!
Eddy was a wonderful big brother -he had a great sense of humor and was also very witty, kind and loving.. I will miss his laughter -- Eddy always had his camera with him and was the one who got me interested in taking pics and videos Eddy was so good to us. and he had so much respect for mom He was proud of his family and loved his grandkids ..He was a true family man --- I will miss you my dear brother
Eddie was a very loving older brother to me, always kind and sweet, I can not remember him ever being cross. He was generous and funny. He taught me to drive a stick shift on his Ford Fairlane 500 (black with red interior) I had deep respect for him as a person.
I am heart broken that he has passed! He will always be my Uncle Ed. When I was young he was at all family events with a video camera attached to him. I know he has lots of videos of me when I had no 2 front teeth. Him and Aunt Bev would take me places with their family since they didn’t have a girl so I was their little girl! Uncle Ed, you will be missed by many who loved you! To my cousins, I am so sorry! My love is with you all!
Very sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. My condolences to his family. Ed and I were in the same grade at WMU
