Brenda was a good friend of mine. I always looked forward to seeing her when I would go to 200 N. 11th Street.\, SHA. We would kid around and talk about Southern food. I missed her when she left, and now I will miss her even more. RIP in the arms of Jesus my friend.

I extend my sincerest condolences and sympathy to the Brenda Bruner family on Brenda's recent passing! I had the pleasure of working with Brenda at the SHA in the 1980's. She was recognized as a major asset to the organization then, and as SHA Executive Director,Jackie Newman recently stated, when she "REHIRED" her for a second stint at the SHA. Brenda was Loyal,Trustworthy,Dependable,Responsible,Dedicated and performed her responsibilities in an "OUTSTANDING" manner. She was a "TEAM" player who was Respectful,Courteous,Honest,Compassionate and treated people the way she wanted to be treated. Those attributes were evident in her interactions with Residents,Coworkers,Board Members,Community Partners and, the general public. Everybody "RESPECTED" Brenda! Yes,she was an "OUTSTANDING" staff person;Representative of the SHA; Friend to many in the Office ;and, Human Being ! During difficult times at the SHA Brenda's beautiful SMILE and that distinct LAUGH would BRIGHTEN our day. I'm sure she also worked that same Magic with Family,Friends and others going through Trials in their lives. SHA Executive Director, Jackie Newman accurately expressed how many of us feel with Brenda's passing, I HAVE NO WORDS! WELL,that's how I feel too,I HAVE NO WORDS!!! Again,FAMILY,Please accept My Deepest and Sincerest Condolences! REST IN PEACE,REST IN PEACE,REST IN PEACE BRENDA!!!

Our hearts are filled with sincere condolences and sympathy at the sudden transition of your beloved family member, Sister Brenda Bruner., She was an "extended member" of our church family and volunteered dutifully in our Feeding With Love Food Pantry, along with her sisters, Mrs. Hattiew Horvell and Mrs. Diana Grooms. Brenda was a positive asset to our ministry and will be sorely missed.

I met & worked with BrendaBruner at Spfld Housing Authority back in June 1987. She was such a jewel! She so loved her children & family! I loved her kind & patient spirit, that infectious giggle and that beautiful smile. I’m more thankful today I was able to thank her for just being an overall wonderful person and for making sure I always got a glass bowl of her soups whenever she cooked it!…I think of her whenever I see that glass bowl in my cabinet! My condolences and prayers for her family during this season! ‍♀️
