Jim, Jann and Richard, My deepest condolences on the passing of your loving wife and mother. She lived a life of obedience to the teachings of Christ. What an inspiration Ruth was as she went about always sharing her love for Christ to everyone. Jennifer said when I called her this morning that she still has the Bible Ruth gave her when she was a little child in Ruth's day care. Jennifer said Mrs. Mann had written down in the back of the Bible the words to all the songs the children sang. Ruth used to take several of the children to nursing homes in Springfield and other nearby towns where they would sing gospel songs for the residents. The children in Ruth's care were introduced to serving others through these nursing home visits. I can remember how excited Jennifer was when she came home once, chattering on that she met Nellie who was suddenly her best friend because Nellie and she were the same age and she was even allowed to push her new friend's wheelchair around the room. When I checked with Ruth the next day, I found out Nellie was 105 not just 5. Whenever there was a siren, Ruth would tell the children someone was in trouble and they would pray for that unknown need. All of this has stuck with Jennifer through forty-plus years and she still finds still enjoys working with the elderly. In the early 70's Bob my husband was invited countless times by Ruth to go to church - she was not pushy but with love of the Lord. One day he went with me to Calvary Temple and was hooked from then on .. even to the point of becoming involved in the bus ministry bringing a busload of adults and children to service and Ruth Mann was responsible. Ruth's love permeated the lives of all those she came in contact with. She is now celebrating her entrance into the presence of the Lord and will be a guardian angel for her family. She had a very special gift of being able to share the love of Christ. May the wonderful memories of her life comfort you.

Mrs. Mann will always be my spiritual grandma. She played a big part in my earlier walk with The Lord and helped me learn about the bible. We spent countless hrs in the phone talking about the bible and of course, the prayer warrior that she was, she always wanted to pray for me and my unsaved family and friends, along with the president, government, you name it! List touch with her these last 9 yrs since I went through a divorce and been back in school these past yrs. Was hoping to connect with her again one day, guess it will have to be in heaven. Will miss her greatly.
