Sherry and family. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. May your mother rest in peace.

Mrs Coons was my Girl Scout leader for Brownies and Juniors in the 1970s. The best memories were the bus trips she took us on. I remember Chicago which was a big deal overnight trip staying in a downtown hotel. Also day trips like Rockome Gardens. And then there were the infamous camping trips. We went to Deer Park near New Salem and it rained! We camped on a farm near Rochester where one the the Scout's teenage sister who was with us refused to use the bathroom the whole weekend because it was an outhouse. I am really grateful for her organizing and leading us on those adventures and more.

I met Betty at The Villa where my mom also lived. Betty was the most grateful person I have ever met. She was so thankful for any little thing I did for her. Such a sweet lady. You will be dearly missed, Betty.

I have many fond memories of Aunt Betty, she is very special to me. After finishing Brownies and Junior Scouts, Aunt Betty became my Girl Scout Leader. Many meeting in the basement of her home. Learning so many things. All the camping trips our troop was able to take (because we borrowed Uncle Moe's boy scout camping equipment) :) I made it all the way and became a 1st Class Girl Scout (High School years). The family gatherings we had at her home ... I learned how to play HORSE basketball at the hoop in their back (side) yard. I wish I could be there but always know you will be forever in my heart.
