Patty, Matt and Kurt, I was so sorry to read about Ron. I gave great memories of the days we worked together at Petroleum council. What a great guy with a great smile and heart. How he loved his family. Prayers and love for all of you.

Ron was a consummate professional who practiced the art of lobbying the old fashion way -- with total integrity. He was well respected by all. It was a real pleasure to have part of the API field operations family. May he rest in peace.

Marcia and I send our deepest sympathies on the passing of Ron (Sam). Our sympathies also go to his wife Patty, who cared so well for him and his sons Matt and Kurt. I was fortunate to have Ron work for me as Associate Director of the Illinois Petroleum Council for 20 years and I knew him as a fellow lobbyist for much longer than that. what a first class person Ron was. A real class act. We shared many Legislative and golf adventures together. Ron was one of the most respected lobbyists under the Statehouse Dome, and did a great job in a challenging environment. He also always kept his sense of humor and an even keel. He handled his medical challenges with the same determination that marked his whole career. Rest well Ron. You deserve it.
