Pat was born in New Oxford, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown, PA and the University of Illinois Springfield. Pat is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where he is a Mass Coordinator. He is also Commander of the Catholic War Veterans – Bishop McNicholas Post 1916. Other memberships include Knights of Columbus, past president of Athens Lions Club and lifetime member of Illinois National Guard Association.

Pat is retired from the Illinois Air National Guard as well. He and his wife have three children and nine grandchildren.
