Mark was born in Springfield, IL. He graduated from Griffin High School, Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He attended Springfield College in Illinois and Lincoln Land Community College as well. Mark is a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Other memberships include Extraordinary Minister at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Cathedral Grade School Board Member, Knights of Columbus Council #364, Bishop Griffin 4th Degree Assembly, United Commercial Travelers and Sigma Phi Sigma Fraternity. Mark and his wife Brenda have two children.

Mark joined the Staab Family team in 1977 and became a funeral director in 1981.  He is a Certified Crematory Operator (CCO) with the National Funeral Director’s Association.
