Kari Jones, born and raised in far northwest Iowa, is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, IA and earned her master’s degree in music education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She taught choral music, primarily at the high school level, many years before commencing a second career in funeral care. Additionally, Kari served as choir director at First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville for several decades, directed the Jacksonville Symphony Chorale, taught voice and piano privately in her home, and directed and adjudicated at numerous music festivals. Now she and her husband, Steve, are active at West Side Christian Church and with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) in Springfield. They have two grown sons who live in the Chicago area.

Kari joined the Staab Family team in 2011.  She is a Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC) with the National Funeral Director’s Association.
