Wilma Mae Dudda
Wilma Mae Dudda, 86, of Springfield, died at 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Regency Nursing Care Residence. She was born May 17, 1925 in Springfield to Paul E. and Lena M. Clotfelter Murray. She married Alfred G. Dudda on October 25, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred; two daughters, Darlene M. (John) Moore of Pleasant Plains and Linda K. (Russell) Dickerson of Springfield; one son, Alan W. Dudda of Springfield, IL; two grandsons, Matthew Dickerson of Streamwood, IL and Andrew Dickerson of Chatham, IL; one sister, Edna Jimison of Springfield; one brother, George Murray of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins and several great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Florence Murray and Frances Murray.
Wilma was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crafting, roller skating (which is where she met her husband), and being with her family, dear friends and neighbors. She was an avid baseball fan and was a true Cubs fan. She was a homemaker and prior to raising her children she worked at Sangamo Electric. The family wishes to thank all of Wilma’s physicians and their staffs, Memorial Home Services and Regency Nursing Care Residence for their care and compassion.
Visitation: 10:30-11:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Concordia Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service: 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Reverends James Hennig and Michael Koschmann officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
