Wilma C. Hale

Wilma C. Hale, 93, died at 5:30 p.m., on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born on August 30, 1919 in Cantrall, IL to Elmer and Jessie Sexton Doom. She was first married to Carl Priddy. She later married James Hale on November 14, 1962 and he died February 25, 2000. Also preceding her in death are her parents; one son, Carl Priddy, Jr.; one sister, Velda Kerley and four brothers, Elmer, William, Melvin and Lyle Doom.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Gladene Priddy of Springfield; two grandchildren, Kurt (Cathy) Priddy of Springfield and Karen Priddy of Petersburg; seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and several, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wilma was a member of Riverton Christian Church. She was a retail clerk at Springfield Dry Goods and she also did babysitting in her home.
Visitation: 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Frank Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
