William L. "Bill" Jarrett
William “Bill” L. Jarrett, 65, of Kincaid died at 6:10 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 15, 1952 in Springfield, to James and Gertrude (Clemons) Jarrett. He married Vivian “Vicky” Scattergood on December 2, 1969 and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Krista Miller of Bulpitt and Tory (Brent) Thomas of Glenarm; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Jarrett of Springfield and Marilyn (Ron) Schwabe of Athens; four brothers, Bob Jarrett of Decatur, John, Donnie (Diane), and Jake (Cathy) Jarrett all of Springfield; and several nieces nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Gina Jarrett; one sister, Katie Bowman; and two brothers, Bill and Jim Jarrett.
Bill was a resident of Kincaid for 16 years serving as Mayor for the past two years. He was the owner/operator of Bill’s Safety and Automotive.
Visitation: 11am-1pm, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield. Funeral procession will immediately follow to Zion Cemetery where a graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

My condolences to all the family members affected. Even though I did not know him well...he sure was very knowledgeable about repairing automobiles. Go with God.
