SHERMAN. Warren Clinton Winters, 94, of Sherman, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Villa Health Care East.
He was born January 26, 1913 in Yuma, CO, the son of Charles F. and Etta May Edwards Winters. He married Mary A. Witcuskie in April, 1937; she preceded him in death on January 8, 1986. One grandson, David Allen Winters, and one brother, David Winters, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Winters was an auto parts salesman for Bailey Supply Co., retiring after 40 years of service. He was a member of Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church and United Commercial Travelers.
Survivors: one daughter, Marietta (husband, Morse) Branham of Overland Park, KS; one son, W. Richard (wife, Marlene) Winters of Springfield; three grandchildren, Roger Winters of LaPorte, IN, Donald (wife, Tonya) Branham of Olathe, KS, and Greg (wife, Adrienne) Branham of Olathe, KS; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Winters of Sun City Center, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Visitation will be held 12:00-1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2007. Services: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2007. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home of Service.
