Thomas J. Brady, 72, of Springfield, died at 11:37 pm, Sunday, May 27, 2018 at his home. He was born February 6, 1946 in Springfield to Michael and Sarah (McNicholas) Brady. He married Maureen R. Haas on May 2, 1970 and she survives him.

Also surviving are his three children, Robert Kennedy Brady, Colleen (Tom) Dunham both of Springfield, and James (Carrie) Brady of Pleasant Plains; six grandchildren, Charlie, McKinley, Ella, and Maggie Dunham, Fisk and Dempsey Brady.

Preceding him in death are his parents, and his aunt, Mary Ellen Morris.

Thomas played basketball and graduated from St. James Trade School. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Thomas retired from the State of Illinois as a Lead Engineer after thirty-five years of service. He was an avid White Sox fan and also enjoyed coaching youth baseball for his kids and being involved in his grandkids sports.

Memorial Gathering: 9:30 am – 11:30 am, Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Agnes Church.

Memorial Mass: 11:30 am, Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Agnes Church with Reverend Robert Jallas officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery were military honors will be conducted.
