Thomas D. Stroisch
Thomas D. Stroisch, 69, of Riverton, died Friday, April 27, 2018, at his home. He was born March 30, 1949, in Springfield, to Daniel and Frances (Frain) Stroisch, and they preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff Stroisch and Michael Thompson. He married Sharon Riley Stanton on August 28, 1998, and she survives.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianne (Roman) Herring of Bement, IL, Shannon Stroisch of Springfield, two sons, Mark Pope of Springfield and Paul (Melissa) Pope of Harker Heights, TX, nine grandchildren: Anthony Frank, Brayden Stroisch, Trinity Stroisch, Kyleigh Miller, Cheyenna Davis, Ella Zamora, Michael Boles, Daniel Pope and Zach Pope, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Phyllis Muehlebach and Tammy Smith, both of Springfield, one brother, Jack (Charlene) Smith of Springfield, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Thomas was a resident of Riverton for 20 years. He worked as an oil field worker for the John Carey Company of Mechanicsburg, IL for 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gaming, and working on motors. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends.
Graveside Service: 11 am, Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Oak Hill Cemetery.
