SPRINGFIELD – Susan Mowbray, 61, of Springfield, went home to be with The Lord at 2:57 pm, Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born October 30, 1949 in Newport, RI to Arthur and Louisa Byron Mowbray. Surviving are one brother Arthur Art (Kerry) Mowbray of Chesapeake, VA; two nieces, 5 nephews and a loving Church family at Calvary Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Wayne Mowbray.
Susan was a member of Calvary Temple and worked diligently for the Right to Life Cause. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which inspired her lifetime of giving in service to others. Susan was employed by the DEA as an office assistant and support staff for the field agents. During her 40 years with the DEA, she worked in several field offices including 11 years in Thailand and the past 20 years here in Springfield. As a lover of life, Susan rescued and owned many dogs during her lifetime, including Tippy and Sassy. She will be missed greatly by her family and church family.
Visitation: 9-11 am, Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Calvary Temple.
Funeral: 11 am, Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Calvary Temple with Pastor Paul Rose officiating.
Graveside: 10 am, Monday December 13, 2010 in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
