Shirley J. Landreth

Shirley J. Landreth (Homeier), 79, of Springfield died at 3:25 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Hillsboro Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 20, 1937 in Springfield to Edward P. and Lula Mae Kuhn Landreth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James Edward Landreth and one sister, Beverly Mae Landreth.

Shirley is a lifelong resident of Springfield and graduated from Feitshans High School. She married John F. Homeier on September 29, 1956 and they later divorced. She had a great love for animals; especially cats, dogs and horses. She could always be found at her sister Beverly’s business, “Bev’s Corral”.

Surviving are three sons, including her middle son, John C. “Butch” (Nancy) Homeier of Edinburg; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Landreth of Springfield and special friend, Mike Harris of Springfield.

Graveside Service: 11:00 am Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Bob Green officiating.
