Sharon Rose Swartz
Sharon Rose Swartz, 71, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at her home. She was born June 4, 1949, in Chambersburg, PA, the daughter of Max and Ottie Mae (McManus) Swartz, Sr. and they preceded her in death.
Sharon is also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Alleman; two brothers, Michael B. Swartz and John Swartz; and two nephews, Michael Swartz, Jr. and Danny Swartz.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Alleman (companion: Mike Mentzer) of Shippensburg, PA and Tami (Matthew) Dillon of Springfield; four grandchildren, Patrick and Sarah Holtry of Shippensburg, PA and Brennah and Kaylee Dillon of Springfield; two great-grandchildren, Layla and Jonathan; six brothers, Max, Sam, Tim, Jeff, Doug, and Bill Swartz all of Pennsylvania; one sister, Wendy Johnston of Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews; her beloved companion, Steve Ingerson of Springfield; as well as one fur baby, Stormy.
Sharon had previously worked for Carlisle Tire and Rubber in Carlisle, PA, having moved to Springfield in the early 1980’s. She also worked as a Pharmacy Tech at K-mart on Wabash Avenue and was the Store Supervisor of Party Tree before retiring in 2010.
Sharon enjoyed solving word puzzles, writing poetry, putting together jigsaw puzzles, discussing politics and current events, and going to the movies.
Per Sharon’s request, cremation will be accorded and burial will take place in Pennsylvania.
