Sharon Lee Livingston
Sharon Lee Livingston passed away Friday, January 28, 2011. She was born April 7, 1940 and was raised in Springfield by her parents Pete and Myrtle Gantt-Ruzic. On June 28, 1958. Sharon married her soul mate for life, John Livingston, and he survives. She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant sisters.
Sharon was a loving Mother and Grandmother. Her whole world revolved around her family and many laughs were shared around her dining table. She was a homemaker and also worked hard for her husband as a secretary for Chatham Disposal. She loved to work in the yard and she could make plants grow with her touch. She also enjoyed camping and traveling. After retirement, she enjoyed the computer and staying in touch with family and friends.
Sharon leaves a legacy of love in her four children, John (Kim) Livingston of Fairborn, OH, Vicky (Rick) Scoggins and Virginia Foster both of Carterville, IL and Jim (Beth) Livingston of Riverton, IL; twelve grandchildren, Kristine Livingston-Munoz, Doug and Jason Livingston, Justin (Mary) Woods, Ashley (Derrik) Liddell, Whitney (Fiancé: Austin Waldron), Brock Scoggins, Alyssa Scoggins, Jeff and Katie Foster, Blake and Jenna Livingston; 8 great grandchildren, Tyler, Kalleigh, Brandon, Braxton, Kade, Kinlee, Carter and Camden; one Brother, George (Rose) Ruzic of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Gathering: 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Memorial Service: 12 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Monsignor John Ossola officiating.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the National Parkinson Foundation.
