Sharon L. Jimison
Sharon L. Jimison, 46, of Springfield died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012 at her home. She was born on October 4, 1965 in Peoria, IL to James and Rosalee Smith Blackwell. She married Gary M. Jimison on September 7, 1990. She was preceded in death by her brother, Virgil Edward Blackwell.
She is survived by her husband, Gary, two daughters, Nicholle L. Jimison and Kelsey N. Wartenbe and two sons, Sean A. Blackwell and Joshua M. Jimison, one granddaughter, Olivia Novalee Jimison, parents, James and Rosalee Blackwell of TN, two sisters, Brenda (Larry) Downs of IN and Lori (Robert) Eades of TN, one brother, Randy Blackwell of Beardstown and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon was a homemaker and a member of First United Pentecostal Church.
Visitation: 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at First United Pentecostal Church.
Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at First United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Joe Harrod officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Hospice or SIU Oncology Department

We met Sharon's daughter at Steak N Shake on N. Dirksen on 4/1/2012. Talked to her about the Lord and she told us about her mom's condition. Have been praying for her and Sharon since then. May the Lord Jesus Christ wrap His loving arms around you and give you comfort & peace in the days to come. The family at Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Taylorville is praying for you all.
