Sharon K. Nation, 63, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord at 8:26 pm, Monday, March 3, 2014. She was born August 16, 1950 in Springfield, to Howard and Helen (Myers) Nation, Sr.
Survivors include daughter, Lori Johnson of Springfield; son, William “Billy” Johnson, Jr. of Sherman; grandchildren, William “B” III, Bryan, Kaylee and Garrett; great grandchildren, Serenity, Desirae and Lily (on the way); Mother, Helen Connell of Springfield; sisters, Tracy Rueter, Tresa (Chris) Hamilton, Judy (Fiancé’ Travis Peden) Fox and Patty (Ted) Merano all of Springfield; brothers, Howard Nation, Jr. of Springfield and Johnny Nation of Chicago; one step brother, David (Angel) Connell of Springfield; companion, Lyle Roof of Springfield and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Nation, Sr. and step-father, Richard Connell.
She retired from St. John’s Hospital after seventeen years of service.
Sharon attended Real Life Church. She was a huge Elvis fan. She loved playing shuffle board and pinochle while enjoying a cold PBR. She was a diehard Cub fan. She also enjoyed fishing, dancing, singing karaoke with family and friends and baking cookies with her grandchildren.
She was a loving devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt.
She loved life to the fullest, cherished her friends and family and would help anyone. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation: 1-3 pm, Friday, March 7, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 3 pm, Friday, March 7, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Miracle Network.

Were so sorry for your loss! Tracy you've had a lot on your plate lately so please reach out for help if it gets too hard. Watch over your mom cause no matter what degree of sadness you feel, she lost a child. It doesn't matter if she was 6 or 63 it's still her little girl. Peace and comfort to you all and Gods blessings!
