Salvatore Scaccianoce, Jr., 78, died at 6:08 PM, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born November 4, 1938 in Chicago to Salvatore and Angelina (Scrivano) Scaccianoce, Sr. He married Marie Bergfeld on June 29, 1957.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Scaccianoce; one daughter, Lisa Scaccianoce of Springfield; three sons, Anthony Scaccianoce of Crystal Lake, Vincent (Deborah) Scaccianoce of Bradenton, FL, and Salvatore Scaccianoce III of Crystal Lake; eight grandchildren, Vinnie, Salvatore IV, Vito, Stephanie, Briana, Jordan, Dylan, and Dominick; two great-grandchildren, Faith and Anthony; three sisters, Josephine Alberti of Gurnee, Debbie (Bob) Scianna of Sycamore, and Rhonda McVey of Warrenville; one brother, Steven Scaccianoce of Genoa; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Kay Ventimiglia.
Salvatore was a resident of Springfield for three and a half years and formerly a resident of Huntley. He retired from Sorg Printing Company after working twenty five plus years as a printing supervisor. He owned and operated Diamond Litho and Scacci’s Italian Beef.
He enjoyed preparing taxes for family and friends, fishing, bowling, playing chess daily, and walking a mile every day.
