Roy Eugene Robinson

My favorite memory is sixteen years ago recovering from cancer treatments. I was sitting on my couch on 10th street when Tasha and Roy stood on the doorway and said we have some news. We are going to have a baby. I screamed and cried and hugged them so tight. I fell to my knees and thanked the Lord the message they brought helped save my life. From that moment forward he was always a part of our family, and will be remembered as such.

Annabel & Warren & family, Sooo sorry to hear about Roy. Being the oldest and he the youngest, I don't know him very well. Knowing how his laughter brought happiness to many others brings a smile to my face. Parents, losing a child doesn't feel right; he should be outliving them. Doug's parents lost their son, Mark, when he was a little younger than Roy. So, we always go back to Job and how he remained faithful to God even when all was taken from him. Uncle Henry, Aunt Ann, Anna, Robinson Family We are very sorry for the passing of Roy, even though we have not seen each and spent time together since we were kids, it was always fun to come over to swim or just play. I remember Roy being so full of life , always smiling and he was the little jokester of us all. God Speed Roy, you will be missed. I am happy to know we have another Angel on our side. If you see Dad (Uncle Ray) give him a hug. Knowing that you are joining a great family of Angels in heaven is a great comfort, Gone to soon, but never to be forgotten!! The first I car I drove was Roy's- that first blue one of his- right into a ditch. But of course he didn't get mad. Just laughed it off. I'll never forget when he (reluctantly) went with me to the Boyz II Men concert in Champaign in 1994. And the raids on the fridge to get frozen little debbies. We had alot of good times, and good laughs. I was always happy to run into you and get a big old hug and smile and catch up. You'll be missed by many. Rest in Peace, old buddy.

I'll never forget him I just met him and was invited to a Halloween Party at his place. He dressed as a pimp looked good too :) nice guy and will be missed. I have a pic of him as a pimp but can't get to it. Wish I could share it he had this big smile which is how he usually was smiling. RIP Roy you were loved and will be missed. Brenda

I'll never ever forget that laugh Roy had... It was enough to get you laughing even before you knew what you were laughing about. Roy was such a good guy, and he will be missed by many. I pray blessings over his family and especially his daughter, Anna. Until we meet again, my friend...

Roy was one of the nicest persons I ever met. May warm memories and love get his family through this difficult time.

I just wanted to say I am so sorry for the loss of Roy. Unfortunately even though we were 1st cousins, I didn't get to know him, but by name. I am very saddened by his death and wish all his family peace beyond all understanding in this difficult time. I plan to come to Springfield for the visitation, so will see many of you there.
