SPRINGFIELD – Rosemary Knuckey, 81, of Springfield died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at her home.
She was born March 8, 1929, in Divernon, IL, to William and Josephine Ziller Maraldo. She married Alvin R. Knuckey on September 13, 1952.
She was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Council of Catholic Women and past president and member of Postal Auxiliary. Rosemary was a resident of Springfield since 1952 and worked for the State Teachers Retirement Association from 1947-1955.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin of Springfield; son, Alan R. (Marla) Knuckey of Bloomington; and 2 granddaughters, Alexandra Nicole and Morgan Leigh Knuckey. Her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Reverend Christopher House officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
