Roseann Robertson
Roseann Robertson, 86, of Springfield, died at 3:17 am, Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born February 2, 1928, the daughter of Anthony and Anna Rashinski. She married Harold Robertson on June 28, 1948.
Roseann graduated from Lanphier High School and worked at Illinois National Insurance Company. She was very proud of her Lithuanian heritage. After she retired she became a member of the Prairie Craft Guild and baked pies and made peanut brittle, for which she was quite famous. She was often seen at Clayville.
She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant Plains and the Mary Margaret Guild. She faithfully read devotions every day.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette (George “Butch”) Ealey, three nephews, John Bradley (Blanche) Robertson of Hickory Creek, TX, Michael (Deborah) Robertson of Springfield and Roger (Yen) Robertson of Glenarm and several great nieces and a great nephew.
Her parents; husband and step father, Oscar Dow, preceded her in death.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home.
Lie-in-State: 10-11 am, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant Plains.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant Plains, with Pastor Donald Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant Plains.
