Rodger Allen Zook, 54, of Springfield, passed away at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2014 in his home. He was born April 21, 1960 in Mishawaka, IN to Larry T. and Darlene W. (Johnson) Zook. His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include two brothers, Lynn Zook of Matthews, NC; Christopher (Leslie) Zook of Kalamazoo, MI;  three nieces, Savannah, Rachel, Delaney Zook; one nephew, Connor Zook; one aunt, Alta Holland; one uncle, Dean (Mary) Johnson;  and several cousins.

Rodger studied engineering and received a B.A. from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. He then went on to get his Master’s degree in psychology from Bradley University.  He shifted away from being a case worker for the State of Illinois, to become an IT trainer for the Department of Human Services because of his love of technology. He enjoyed model rockets, computers, biking and was an avid Indianapolis Colts Fan and SCI-FI buff.
