Robin Jo McKibben
Robin Jo McKibben, 59, of Springfield, died at 8:15 am, Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at her home. She was born, February 2, 1956 in Springfield, to Gerald W. and Donna J. Smith Ferguson, Sr. She married Brian D McKibben on July 28, 2001 and he survives.
Also surviving are one son William “Billy” Johnston of Springfield; three sisters, Kathy (Mike) Moreland of Chatham, Linda (Tim) Hulett of Shreveport, LA and Karen Kirk of Chatham; one brother, Ed (Karen) Ferguson of Bloomington; best friends, Laura Kornack and Paula Sullivan; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law and their spouses; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gerald W. Ferguson, Jr.
Robin was a member of Calvary Church. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, especially being a Yadier Molina fan. She enjoyed playing softball, bowling and playing Trivia with her son and friends at night. Her greatest love was spending time with family and friends and living life to its fullest.
She was a Special Education PE teacher at St. James Trade School. She had worked for Marine Bank then Bank One; Wells Fargo and Prairie State Bank and Trust.
Visitation: 1-4 pm Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home, with additional visitation from 10 am – 11 am, Monday, January 25, 2016 at Calvary Church on Jefferson Street, Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Monday, January 25, 2016 at Calvary Church on Jefferson Street, Springfield, with Pastor Paul Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery.
