Robert E. "Bob" Moakley
Robert E. “Bob” Moakley, 74, of Springfield, died at 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born August 12, 1939 in Springfield to Louis and Mary Mahoney Moakley. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one sister: Grace (Darryl) Ebken of Kilbourne, IL; two nieces: Kay Ebken of Jacksonville and Jan (Brad) Zeeck of Havana, IL; one cousin: Margaret Deloney; two great-nephews: Mike Bosler and Cody Zeeck and one great niece: Katie Zeeck.
Bob attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was a member of the IBEW. He was an avid gardener and grew endless tomato plants. He was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and enjoyed family, friends and his dogs. Bob will be missed by all. He was employed at Mansfield Electric, Anderson Electric and retired as an electrician from St. John’s Hospital.
Visitation: 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 pm.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 am Thursday, June 12, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Reverend Steven Janoski officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial Donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or the Charity of Donor’s Choice.

Dear Grace,Kay and Jan, I'm so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I knew Bob from when he worked at Saint John's, he would always crack me up with his jokes and one liner's, he sure knew how to make you laugh, he will be missed by all his buddies at Saint John's. Rest in peace Bob until we all meet again
