Roanld I. Fisher
DAWSON – Ronald I. Fisher, 73, of Dawson died at 1:09 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 6, 1935, in Springfield, the son of John I. and Elizabeth Surgis Fisher. He married Mary Lou Burge on Dec. 31, 1954.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two half-brothers, Bud Fisher and Joe Mordacq; and a half-sister, Francis McKinzie.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Fisher of Dawson; two daughters, Rhonda (husband, Robert) Petitt of Riverton and Robin (husband, Michael) Tisdale of Riverton; two sons, George Randy (wife, Barbara) Fisher of Riverton and John Rusty (wife, Donna) Fisher of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Loucinda, Bill, Bob, Jami, Crystal, Stephen, Ronnie and Michael; 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a lifelong resident of the Riverton area. He worked as a truck driver for Vredenburgh Lumber Co. retiring after 30 years.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4361 in Riverton.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Riverton Christian Church. Cremation services provided by Staab Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Riverton Eagles Building Fund.

Hello Marylou, I am sorry to learn of Ron's passing and finding out at this late date. I came across this obituary while looking you up on Facebook. i would like to see you again as i get to Springfield area every now and then. Maybe we could have lunch and go over old times from our Riverton High School days. Sincerely, Judy
