Rita Ann Bianco

Rita Ann Bianco, 94, of Springfield, died at 4:08 pm, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Bickford House. She was born April 13, 1919 in Sheboygan, WI to August and Magdalene Diehl Zohlen. She married Albert Bianco on November 29, 1941 and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2009. Also preceding her in death were a son, Robert Bianco; a daughter-in-law, Barb Bianco; two brothers, John and Cletus Zohlen and two sisters, Corona Zohlen and Devota Gerend.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Ann (Fred) Naffziger of Burlington, KY, Mary Tennant of Kingsport, TN and Catherine (Norm) Robertson of Normal, IL; three sons, James (Kathy) Bianco of Las Vegas, NV, Thomas Bianco of San Antonio, TX and John (Peggy) Bianco of Hillsboro, NC; 23 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; one sister, Verda Bond of Fond du Lac, WI; one brother Reverend Ray Zohlen of San Mateo, CA; one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bianco and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Bianco was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a resident of Springfield since 1941 and was a homemaker. She was a graduate from St. John’s School of Nursing.
