Rickey Joe Angeli
Rickey Joe Angeli, 59, of Springfield died at 10:25 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2014 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born November 14, 1954 in Springfield to Louis and Barbara A. Ushman Angeli.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia “Patty” Angeli; four daughters: Wendy Angeli and Kandey (B.J.) Ferry, both of Springfield, Becky (Danny) Gilmore of Bath, IL and Jessica (Todd) Catron of Springfield; two sons: Brian Carron of Bath, IL and Rickey “Rocko” (Carrie) Angeli of Springfield; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; father: Louis Angeli of Springfield; one sister: Kimberly (Bob Sayre) Angeli of Louisiana and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, one sister: Terry J. Angeli-Howard and grandparents: Carl and Marguerite Ushman.
Rickey was of the Catholic faith. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He loved fishing, woodworking, sports especially the Cubs and Bears and enjoyed playing cards. He was employed as Deputy Chief of Operations at Able Detective Agency.
The family will hold a graveside service at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Sr. Mary Jean Traeger, OP, officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail and the US Air Force.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
