Richard "Dick" L Blakley
Richard L. “Dick” Blakley, 80, of Sherman, died at 8:50 pm, Thursday, December 5, 2013 at his home. He was born September 4, 1933 in Springfield to William and Edna Walker Blakley.
Surviving are his wife, Melba Kiska Blakley, married April 12, 1957, a daughter, Lori (Aureliano Nunez) Blakley; three grandchildren, Tyler, Landon and Jacob Nunez all of Williamsville, and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, son, Richard Blakley, sisters, Fanny and Maude, brothers, Gerald, Art, Claude, Ralph, Paul, Cliff and Don Blakley preceded him in death.
Richard was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in Japan during the Korean War as an air Traffic Controller. He retired from CWLP as a supervisor of Distribution Electrical Engineering. Richard was a member of Riverton United Methodist Church
Visitation: 12 – 1 pm, Monday, December 9, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 1 pm, Monday, December 9, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jonathon Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
