We have such wonderful memories of the times John spent with our family. Each summer in the 80s he would spend time with us at our summer place on Lake Tippecanoe. After we sold the Tippy place, he would come to our home in Indy and spend time with us. John was so brilliant, yet he was quite humble. He celebrated Eucharist with us in our home many times....seems to be the memory that our children enjoyed most about his visits. They loved the intimacy of the moment. I remember one very clear night that all of us were laying on the dock as John pointed out all the stars and constellations to us. We will be forever grateful for his friendship, and all that his presence brought to our lives. As John rest in the arms of his God, we will pray for all of us he has left behind!
