Rebecca Jean Becky Fleckenstein
SPRINGFIELD – Rebecca Jean Becky Fleckenstein, 58, of Springfield, formerly of New Port Richey, Fla., died at 4:02 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at St. John’s Hospital.
She was born July 5, 1951, in Fort Campbell, Ky., the daughter of John Connor and Norma Jean Bodnar Craig. She married Tom Fleckenstein on Oct. 11, 1996, in New Port Richey, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her father and her mother, Norma Jean James.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Fleckenstein of Springfield; three sisters, Mary Pat (Patrick) Graybill of Dade City, Fla., Linda (Chip) Jelemensky-Holt of Austin, Texas and Dawn James of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, John David Craig of Tampa, Fla.; and several extended family members and friends.
Becky was a resident of Springfield since May 2008. She worked for 27 years at GTE in Tampa, Fla. and then was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Springfield and the American Legion Post 139 Ladies Auxiliary in Tampa, Fla. She enjoyed swimming, going to the beach, talking on the phone, working out with the girls at CURVES, and spending time with her cats Connor and Meisha.
