Quinto J. Cimarossa
Quinto J. Cimarossa, 94 of New Berlin, IL died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, 12:35 am at Memorial Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1922 the son of Carlo and Regina Lippera Cimarossa.
Quinto was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Mary Jean Christen Cimarossa in February 2017; Jeanette Smith Cimarossa in November 2007; two brothers, Frank and Pete Cimarossa; two sisters, Anna Miller, and Enis “Cimmy” Neff; step-daughter, Janice Smith and great grandson, Jacob Schloemann.
Quinto is survived by his six children; John (Marilyn) Cimarossa of Sugar Hill, GA, Jeannie (Ron) Hipsher of New Berlin, Jim (Debbie House) Cimarossa of Pleasant Plains, Jan (Michele) Cimarossa of Pawnee, Joe Cimarossa of Springfield, and Carol Cimarossa of New Berlin; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren and several nieces, and nephews.
Quinto was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was very involved in Blessed Sacrament Church, Christ the King Church and Griffin High School. Quinto was an initial member of the Roman Cultural Society and involved with the Knights of Columbus and Griffin Mostaccioli dinner. He was a Precinct Committeeman and a member of the Brotherhood of Teamsters in the food and dairy industry.
Quinto was an avid woodworker, cabinet maker and had his own remodeling business. He was owner/partner of C&C Specialty Distributors.
Quinto loved music, played many musical instruments and was Frankie Leonard, orchestral leader and singer of the Frankie Leonard Band.
Visitation: 9:30 am-12:00 pm, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church.
Funeral Service: Funeral Mass, 12:00 pm, Thursday March 23, 2017 Blessed Sacrament Church, with Reverend Jeff Grant officiating. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Ashland, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Blessed Sacrament Building Fund, SHG Boosters Club, or Animal Protective League.
