Prima Mae Daniels
Mrs. Prima Mae Daniels was called home peacefully to our Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2017 to reunite with her beloved husband, David.
Born November 8th, 1930, to Harry King and Rutha King, Prima grew up in Springfield, Illinois amongst a large family of eleven siblings.She married David L. Daniels on July 4th of 1953 at Third Presbyterian Church and raised one loving son, Douglas Daniels. She was passionate about her family and to know her, truly was to love her.
Prima was an active member of the Central Illinois Antique Dealers Association for over thirty years and served as the past president for many years as well. She enjoyed years of managing antique shows around the state.
Prima took great pride in being “hands-on” in the management of her real estate. She believed in a strong work ethic and along with her husband Dave, sought to teach her family those same values.
She is survived by her son, Douglas (Linda) Daniels, her son, Jim (Teresa) Bancroft; her brothers: Dennis (Peggy) King, Fred King, Gene (Marilyn) King; her granddaughters: Dr. Megan Daniels, McKinzie Daniels, and Ashley (Giovanni) Ribaudo; as well as her two great granddaughters: Anna Maria Ribaudo and Milana Ribaudo.
A visitation will begin at 10 am, followed by a remembrance ceremony at 11 am, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Cindy Lash officiating. A burial service will follow directly after at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Prima to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Animal Protective League.
