Peggy N. Plotner, 77, of Springfield, died at 7:51 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at The Regency. She was born January 7, 1941 in Pawnee Township to V. Cecil and Rosie (Squires) Russell. She married Frank Thomas Plotner on October 19, 1979 and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2016.

Survivors include her step-children, Frank Thomas (Lisa) Plotner of Coal Valley, Randy Plotner of Tampa, FL, Todd Plotner of Savannah, MO, Judy (Bobby) Carlson of Milan, IL, Gary (Anna) Plotner of East Moline and Venetia Schnapp of Chatham; seven grandchildren, Michael Plotner, Melissa (Josh) DeCasteker, Jay (Erika) Booras, Amanda Booras, Nick (Sara) Plotner, Nick (Haylee) Sommers and Eric (Lindsay) Sommers; two sisters, Patsy Duffy of Springfield and Fairy Castleman of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Terry Plotner; two brothers and six sisters. Peggy was a 1959 graduate from Pawnee High School. She worked for Sears in Geneseo, was a homemaker and had previously worked at Henry’s Appliance and Landmark Ford in Springfield.

Visitation: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Donn Stephens officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Davenport Memorial Park.
