Patricia Patty Ann Gresham
SPRINGFIELD – Patricia Patty Ann Gresham, 64, of Springfield died at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital.
She was born June 14, 1944, in Springfield, the daughter of John T. and Mary Costello Ducey. She was married to Lowell E. Gresham on April 18, 1964, at St. Cabrini Church by Father John Day.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Lowell of Springfield; a daughter, Michele (husband, Jay) Stewart of Springfield; a son, Eddie (wife, Stacy) Gresham of Plano, Texas; two grandchildren, Kori (husband, Phillip) Camper of Wichita, Kan., and Sami Stewart of Springfield; her mother-in-law, Frances Maupin; two brothers, Thomas (wife, Linda) Ducey of Carefree, Ariz., and Michael Ducey (companion, Lynda Bressan) of Springfield; an uncle, Tom Costello; a niece, Kathy Gresham; a nephew, Kevin Gresham; and many cousins.
She worked for many years at Midtown Tire and retired as the manager of the fiscal control unit of the bureau of land acquisition at the Illinois Department of Transportation five years ago after 17 years of service.
She was a member of St. Aloysius parish and a lifelong Cub fan. She enjoyed working outdoors in the sunshine with her many flower beds and spending time with her family.
A memorial Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008, at St. Aloysius Church
with Monsignor John Ossola officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
