Patricia L. Chambers
Patricia L. Chambers, 66, of Springfield, IL, died at 6:49 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2012 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born August 3, 1945 in Springfield to Joseph Edward and Grace Rosalie Whitcomb Skeeters. She married David J. Chambers on April 11, 1964. Her husband; parents; three sisters, Lorraine Lopian, Virginia Ingram and Margaret Bartels; seven brothers, Raymond, Gene, Norman, Joe, John, Michael and Bernie Skeeters all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela (David) Thompson of Springfield; two sons, Michael (Sara) Chambers of Juneau, AK and Chris (Brenda) Chambers of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Rob) Wallace, Joshua (Rayze) Thompson, Kaitlyn and Wyatt Thompson, Noah and Joseph Chambers and Nathaniel and Benjamin Chambers; one great grandson, Bentley Thompson; one sister, Judy (Butch) Butchek of Springfield; three brothers, Charles (Laura) Skeeters, Jim (Josie) Skeeters and Gary Skeeters all of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a member of Real Life Church where she was active in “Forget me Knots”. Patricia enjoyed gardening, reading and bird watching. She retired from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue in 2007.
Visitation: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Real Life Church.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Real Life Church with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
The family requests memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
