Patricia A. Curtis

Patricia A. Curtis, 86, of Springfield died at 4:10 pm, Friday, March 24, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Home. She was born September 15, 1930 in Springfield, IL to Edwin J. and Marie J. (Mulcahy) Murphy. She married Warren Curtis on June 20, 1953 and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1980. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one son, Timothy A. Curtis; one brother and three sisters.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Debra Curtis; two grandchildren, Shanna Curtis and Christopher (Natalie) Curtis and several nieces and nephews.

Patricia was a member of Church of the Little Flower. She retired from the University of Illinois after 35 years of service working for the division of services for crippled children. She was Irish through and through. She enjoyed traveling and was also a member of the Prop Club.

Visitation: 5 – 7 pm, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Church of the Little Flower with Reverend Allen Kemme officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery
