Patricia A Correll-Austin

Patricia A. Correll-Austin of Springfield died at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born October 18, 1928 in Greenville, IL to Elvin and Elizabeth Reynolds Andrews. She married Eugene Correll on October 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1991. She married Wilmer K. Austin on October 15, 1994 and he preceded her in death in 2004. She is also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister; one daughter, Patricia J. Correll and 2 great grandchildren.

She is survived by five daughters, Jacquelynn Corirossi of Phoenix, AZ, Carolynn (Roger) Eilts, Michell Neville, Launa (Companion: Mike Knop) Johnson and Laura Lutkowski all of Springfield; one son, James (Companion: Rebecca Perry) Correll of Springfield; 20 grandchildren: Amy (Ryan) Mann, Bethani Stewart, Christian (Rebecca Klug) Lutes, Brent Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Jennifer (Allan) Harris, Ryan Neville, Benjamin (Danielle) Johnson, Andrew Neville, Tim (Kelly) Correll, Libby (Companion: Luke Corrigan) Johnson, Tony Corirossi, Tyler Correll, Victoria Lutkowski, Laura Marie Lutkowski, Joseph Correll, Lucy Lutkowski, Charles Correll, Jenny (Jason) Gatzemeyer and John Eilts; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Clark of Gainesville, FL and Lorraine White of Neoga, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Patricia was a member of West Side Christian Church, ISEA, P.O.L.K. of A., AARP and the Senior Bowling Association. She enjoyed dancing and was a Brownie Troop Leader. She was a seamstress and produced the Miss Illinois Pageant gowns for several years. She worked at Goldblatts and retired from the Illinois State Police as the Microfilm Division Supervisor.

Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the National Parkinson’s Foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
