Pamela Waddle Weber Copenhaver
Pamela Waddle Weber Copenhaver, 92 of Springfield, died at 5:45 am, Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Villa Healthcare East in Sherman. She was born March 18, 1923 in Normal, to Fred G. and Hazel E. Johnson Waddle.
She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University, Class of 1944. She was a member of ETA Chapter Sigma Kappa Sorority. She married Donald Deidrick Weber on June 2, 1946 and he preceded her in death. She later married Cecil Gamblin Copenhaver on December 24, 1953 and he preceded her in death on February 8, 1996.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne (David) Klassen of Downs, IL; one grandson, Ryan (Sarah) Sullivan of Ionia, MI and two great grandchildren, Chloe Ann and London Marie Sullivan.
Pamela was a teacher and then worked as an underwriter in the insurance industry. She also operated her own junk business for twenty-three years. She belonged to Daughters of Union Veterans, Daughters of Revolutionary War, Colonial Dames, Pulaski County Kentucky Historical Society, American Legion Auxiliary, Illinois Wesleyan Alumni Association, two Red Hat Chapters, Springfield Garden Club, and was a member of South Side Christian Church.
She traveled extensively and had visited every country but Japan and some islands. She was a historian, genealogist, enjoyed needlepoint, embroidery, and oil painting. She also loved to dance.

Funeral Service: 12 pm, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Brooks Wilson officiating.
Graveside Service: 2:30 pm, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Funks Grove Cemetery in McClean, IL.
