Otilla Alexander

Otilla Alexander, 90, of Springfield, died at 5:40 am, Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born January 18, 1925 in Sherman, to Felipe and Maria Sanchez Gudino. She married Frank Alexander in 1947 and he preceded her in death in June of 1964.

Survivors include three daughters, Ramona (Walter) Miller of Indianapolis, IN, Rita (Peter) Burge of Spaulding and Gloria (Charles) Nelson of Springfield; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Maria Duncan, Esther Greenleaf and Frances Gudino and her half-brother, Tony Rayon.

Otilla was a member of St. Aloysius Church. She retired as a Mail processor from the State of Illinois Public Aid Department.

Visitation: 10-11 am, Friday, May 15, 2015 at St. Aloysius Church.

Funeral Mass: 11 am, Friday, May 15, 2015 at St. Aloysius Church with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s choice.
