Ora E. Johnson

Ora E. Johnson, 76, of Edinburg, died at 6:52 pm, Monday, May 19, 2014 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born September 17, 1937 in Springfield, to Carl and Edith Porter Lofquist. She married James Howard Johnson and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2002.

Also preceding her in death are her parents and two brothers, Elmer and Leroy Lofquist.

Survivors include one daughter, Kim Cobham, of Lexington, KY; one son, Jeff (Gayle) Wilson of Auburn; four grandchildren, Jaime, Alex, Aaron and Josiah; three great grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy (Don) McGhiey, Mary Edstrom and Margaret Stephens all of Springfield and Eva Atkinson of Edinburg and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ora was a member of Edinburg United Methodist Church. She retired from Sportsman Lounge where she worked as a cook for 27 years.

Visitation: 5-7 pm, Friday, May 23, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 9 am, Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Raymond Radae officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
