Norma M. Hubbard
Norma M. Hubbard, 83, of Springfield died at 7:10 pm, Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her home. She was born February 28, 1933 in Springfield to Harold F. and Clementine M. (Bierbaum) Long. She married Donald O. Hubbard on April 12, 1986 and he preceded her in death on January 13, 1999. Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Surviving are a son, Mark F. (Bonnie Jean) Agnew of Springfield; step-daughter, Peggy (Bob) Bono of Winter Park, FL; three grandchildren, Marissa (fiancé Jerry Mares) Agnew, Ashli Agnew (Trevor) Benton and Xairiki Agnew; 4 step grandchildren, Robert Bono, Cindy (Eric) Johnson, Bridget Bono and Debbie (Lionel) Rodriguez ; four great grandchildren, Jenna Leigh Agnew, Dominik, Lilyanna and Ryleigh Benton and six step great grandchildren, Noah and Alexa Johnson, Ryan Beemer, Luke Bono and Nicholas and Natalie Rodriguez; two sisters, Rita Edmiston and Patricia Runkles, both of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Norma was a member of St. Aloysius Church where she was a Lector and Communion Minister. She was Coordinator of Caregivers Interfaith Volunteer Services of Springfield. She also served as Sacristan, Lector, Communion Minister and Assistant Coordinator of Catholic Ministries at Memorial Medical Center. Mrs. Hubbard was a Volunteer tutor at St. Aloysius 3rd Grade and was a model for various stores and artists in the Springfield area. Norma retired on April 12, 1998 from Mid-Illinois Caliper Company.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 4 pm.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at St. Aloysius Church with Reverend Clinton Honkomp O.P. officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
