Nina Glee Lawson
Nina Glee Lawson, 73, of Springfield, died at 3:35 pm, Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born April 30, 1940 in Moweaqua, IL, to James David and Frances Stickel Myers, who precede her in death.
She is survived by her children, Kent (Companion: Joy Renicks) Adams of Springfield, Matt (Luann) Adams of Pawnee, Brad (Tammy) Adams of Springfield, Diana Hayes of Springfield and Stephanie (Companion: Darren Tennison) Coffey of Clinton; her companion; Keith Anderson of Springfield; Seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (Les) Bright Moweaqua and Ruth (Chuck) Dunnum of Champaign; one brother James (Joyce) Myers of Mesa, AZ and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nina retired from the State of Illinois after 15 years of service. She was of the Methodist Faith. She was a member of Eagles Club Women’s Auxiliary #437. She loved to play music, writing songs and poems and loved spending time with her family.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Robert Green officiating.

I worked with Nina for several years at the Illinois Department of Public Aid. We had a lot of fun times together back in the day. My deepest sympathy to her children and families and to Keith. May she rest in peace.
