Naomi Faye "Noni" Morris

Naomi “Noni” Faye Morris, 76, of Springfield, died at 12:14 pm, Friday, July 4, 2014 at North Church Nursing & Rehab Center, Jacksonville, IL. She was born July 6, 1937 in Virden, IL to Emory and Flossie Hagen Sheumaker. She married Jack Morris on October 12, 1979, and he survives. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Betty L. Houk.

Survivors include two stepsons, Jack Aaron (Vicki) Morris of Springfield, Harold W. Morris, of Evansville, IN; two grandchildren, Jayla (Mike) Tolliver of New Berlin and Adam Morris (fiance’ Tessa), of Peoria, Illinois; two great-grandchildren, Ely and Izzy Tolliver of New Berlin; three nephews, Stephen (Carmen) Houk of Rogers, AR, Bruce (Sheila) Houk of Garfield, AR, and Brian Houk, and one niece, Toni Henrichsen of Tulsa, OK, lifelong friend, Shirley Hicks of Jacksonville, IL and cousin, Janet Sawyer of Hammond, IL; numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Naomi was employed with CIPS for 30 years, from 1955 to 1984 when she retired. She also worked at Dane’s Discount from 2003 to 2009.
