Nancy Lynette Schackmann, 55, of Springfield, died 4:20 am, Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Heritage Health. She was born November 10, 1958 in Decatur, IL, to Robert Frederick and Vivian Lucille Kincaid Matrisch. She married Jim Schackmann on April 11, 1981.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Kathleen Lyons of Chatham and Sarah (Vince) Traylor of Riverton; three sons, Shane (Sara) Schackmann, James (Jamie) Schackmann and Seth (Sarah) Schackmann all of Springfield; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Gaila Carlisle of Riverton; two brothers David (Carla) Matrisch of Auburn and Robert (Mary) Matrisch of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy was a member of Lakeside Christian Church. She worked as an accountant for St. John’s Hospital and was a homemaker most of her life.

Visitation: 5-7 pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 7 pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Brooks officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
