Nancy Ann Moore
Nancy Ann Moore, 60, of Dawson formerly of Spaulding died at 4:07 am Sunday, August 16, 2015 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born December 13, 1954 in Pekin to Joseph and Elizabeth Lusher Burk. She married Gary R. Moore April 21, 1979.
Surviving are her husband, Gary; one daughter, Brittany Hadley of Springfield; one son, Brent (Shelley) Moore of Sherman; two grandsons, Taylor and Hayden Moore of Sherman; one granddaughter, Amberlyn Hadley of Springfield; mother, Elizabeth Burk of Hopedale; one sister, Barbara Burk of Hopedale; one brother, Gary Burk of Anderson, IN and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father.
She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church and a proud member of their choir for 37 years. She was a member of the Lincoln Land quilters Association and won many ribbons at the Illinois State Fair for her beautiful quilt work. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University. She enjoyed playing with the girls and loved to cook. Nancy taught school for 9 years, three years for Athens Jr. High School and 6 years at Taylorville Jr. High School. She worked as an accountant for the Illinois EPA.
Visitation: 9-10:30 am Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 1st United Methodist Church.
Funeral Service: 10:30 am Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 1st United Methodist Church with Reverend Nicole Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
