Mildred Sue "Millie" "Toodles" Carson
Millie “Toodles” Sue Carson, 73, of Sherman, passed away at 1:53 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. In the days prior to her death, she was surrounded by her entire family and dozens of her friends before slipping peacefully away to Heaven.
She was born January 7, 1939 in Centralia, the daughter of George and Madeline Thomas Schuchmann. She married Edwin H. Carson, Jr. on July 8, 1961 in New Holland; they were married for 51 beautiful years.
Mrs. Carson worked for Springfield physician Dr. Jagdish Banes for 20 years. She enjoyed crafting, baking and floral designing and she was greatly involved in the lives of her children and grand children. Even in her death, her generous spirit lives on as she gave of herself through organ donation with the Gift of Hope Foundation.
Her survivors include her husband, Ed; three daughters, Cindy (husband, Dave) Arnold of Williamsville; Cathy (husband, Scott) Siders of Sherman; Cheryl (husband, Jon) Tadsen of Pawnee; nine grandchildren, David, Nick and Amber Arnold; Andy, Lindsey, Jessica, and Kaitlyn Siders; Madeline and Brendan Mier (Tadsen); one sister, Joann Morris of Springfield; one brother, Richard (wife, Gusta) Schuchmann of Springfield; many nieces, nephews , cousins and other loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sister, Norma and brother, Jerry.
Visitation: 4:00–7:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Lie in State: 10:30-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Living Faith Baptist Church.
Funeral Service: 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Living Faith Baptist Church with Mark Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I've never known anyone who loved life more than Toodles. Her laugh was infectious, her spirit beautiful and her love and dedication to her family inspiring.
